How bullion van rammed into Gov Amosun convoy

ABEOKUTA—Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun state, the day past on Lagos-Ibadan parkway, experienced what ordinary motorists undergo at the fingers of reckless bullion van drivers

 “On sensing danger, the Ogun Governor’s escort commander used a public address device hooked up on his automobile to warn the CBN convoy to desist from such reckless riding. “now not only was the Governor’s escort commander ignored, the CBN convoy drivers went in advance to ram his vehicle and in the end went after different automobiles within the Governor’s convoy, which include the Governor’s legitimate vehicle, earlier than they have been brought to a halt by the security group connected to the Governor.” Gov reacts Soyinka quoted the governor, in reacting to the incident, as announcing “this is lawlessness and the peak of impunity.” He added that “if this may occur to a governor within his territory, you could imagine what they would do to our citizens who are surely going about their valid enterprise.” Governor Amosun expressed sadness with the reckless manner in which the CBN bullion van convoy often conducts itself on the road and warned that such acts of impunity will no longer be tolerated within the borders of Ogun country. “we are able to now not permit such senseless and reckless behaviour in Ogun country,” Governor Amosun stated. in step with Soyinka, “this is not the primary time the governor could have cause to in my view warning reckless CBN convoy drivers in Ogun kingdom. “On several occasions, the governor have had to show back reckless CBN bullion van drivers, who often force in opposition to site visitors on the Lagos-Ibadan parkway.”
